Terms of Service
Last updated: February 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SocialyBox platform (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Use of the Service
You must provide accurate information and are responsible for safeguarding credentials. You may not use the Service for unlawful, infringing, abusive, or deceptive purposes.
2. Content & Ownership
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive license to host and display it solely to operate the Service. You confirm you have rights to the content you upload including images and trademarks.
3. Acceptable Use
- No malware, spam, or automated abuse
- No harassment, hateful, or illegal content
- No attempts to circumvent security or rate limits
- No impersonation or misrepresentation
4. Plans & Billing
Free and paid features may change. We may introduce pricing in the future with notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
5. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts violating these Terms. You may export or delete your data subject to retention and legal obligations.
6. Privacy
Your use is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Where required we provide GDPR-aligned tools for consent and data access.
7. Third-Party Accounting Integrations
SocialyBox offers optional integrations with third-party accounting providers, including QuickBooks Online (operated by Intuit Inc.) and Xero (operated by Xero Limited). By connecting one of these services, you:
- Authorize SocialyBox to access your accounting organization via OAuth 2.0 to read organization information and create draft invoices and bills reflecting your POS transactions, sales, orders, and expenses.
- Acknowledge that SocialyBox never stores your QuickBooks or Xero password. Access is governed by time-limited OAuth tokens that you may revoke at any time.
- Understand that all synced transactions are created as DRAFT documents in your accounting software. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, approving, or deleting these drafts before they affect your financial records, tax filings, or regulatory submissions.
- Accept that SocialyBox is not an accounting firm, financial advisor, or tax professional. The Service does not provide accounting, tax, or legal advice. You should consult a qualified accountant regarding your financial records.
- Agree that your use of QuickBooks Online is also subject to Intuit's Terms of Service and your use of Xero is subject to Xero's Terms of Use.
7.1 Disconnection Rights
You may disconnect your accounting provider at any time through the SocialyBox dashboard. Upon disconnection, SocialyBox will:
- Revoke OAuth tokens with the provider
- Cease all future sync operations
- Delete stored access tokens and connection metadata
Previously synced draft documents in your accounting software will remain unless you delete them manually. Sync history (run dates, status, external reference IDs) is retained for up to 24 months for audit purposes.
7.2 Data Accuracy & Liability
SocialyBox does not guarantee the accuracy of account code mappings, category assignments, or currency conversions in synced documents. SocialyBox shall not be liable for any financial losses, tax reporting errors, accounting discrepancies, or regulatory penalties arising from synced transactions. You are responsible for verifying all synced data before it is approved or used for any financial purpose.
7.3 Third-Party API Availability
SocialyBox is not liable for downtime, rate limiting, API changes, or service interruptions by QuickBooks, Xero, or any other third-party provider. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue accounting integrations with at least thirty (30) days' prior notice.
7.4 Intuit Third-Party Beneficiary
Intuit, Inc. is a third-party beneficiary of this Agreement with respect to provisions governing the use of QuickBooks data. Intuit may enforce such provisions directly against you or SocialyBox.
7.5 Restricted Uses of Accounting Data
You may not use data obtained from QuickBooks or Xero through SocialyBox for creditworthiness assessments, insurance underwriting, employment decisions, or any purpose not directly related to managing your own business accounting records.
8. Disclaimer
Service is provided "as is" without warranties. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted, our aggregate liability shall not exceed amounts paid (if any) in the prior 12 months. In no event shall SocialyBox be liable for lost profits, lost revenue, tax penalties, or consequential damages arising from integration errors or synced financial data.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SocialyBox, its officers, and partners from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of synced financial data, failure to review draft transactions, or violation of a third-party provider's terms of service.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated. Continued use after effective date indicates acceptance.
